  • Tony Yayo Speaks On The Game's G-Unit Debut, "That Game Album Was Supposed To Be Mine

G-Unit's Tony Yayo recently spoke on his former associate The Game and why the West Coast rapper's The Documentary should have been his multi-platinum debut.

In addition to Game, the "Talk Of New York" also addressed Fat Joe and how he fell out of touch with former Unit member Young Buck.

"Yeah, Fat Joe, K.A.R., I seen y'all only did 250 copies," Yayo said in an interview. "I didn't say 250,000, I said 250 copies. You're not even on the SoundScan...Even the Cam'ron sh*t, it was all competition, as long as it doesn't get carried away and become physical, I guess it just becomes a battle...That's the thing with Buck, I had a little altercation in Miami with DJ Khaled at the radio station, sh*t could have got ugly, it was on Tupac's birthday, too, he said he was gonna do a song with Khaled and that's when I started looking at the n*gga funny. If 50 says he got a problem with a n*gga then we all got a problem with a n*gga...Game is not even hot right now, he did a few records. Let me tell you something, Game is a lucky a** n*gga. When I got out of jail, that Game album was supposed to be my album. All that 'This Is How We Do' was supposed to be me. But 50 [Cent] and [Dr.] Dre had an agreement that sh*t woulda been my album that did 5 million. He's a lucky motherf*cker man, I'll give it to him...He's bi-polar. One day he'll be crying and then the next he'll want to beef with 50 and it's G-Unot." (Forbez DVD)
Game recently spoke on how he destroyed G-Unit and addressed his love and hate relationship with 50.

"Nobody can stop my shine, you can't do nothin' about me man," Game said about 50. "'300 Bars' solidifed the death of them n*ggas man and we been f*cking stomping on they graves ever since. Like I said years ago on SmackDVD, Young Buck was getting out, next is Lloyd Banks...I ain't talked to 50 in like three, four years. I don't know man, let homie get his money. He got his G-Unit sh*ts I be hearing in the club sometimes. Those la-di da-di sh*ts. They b*tches be dancing, the n*ggas be partying, if the beat is hot I'll dance. 50, get your money n*gga, I ain't hating...I got ThisIzGame, everything that n*gga do I'm on that n*gga head. Whatever he do, he can come with 50RunsTheWorld I'm coming out with GameRunsTheWorld. I'm on that n*gga's a** man. [G-Unit's music] is straight a**. You seen like Deelishis a** and Buffy a**, that sh*t is a** music. That's what them n*ggas should call it, a** music." (SmackDVD)
Game is reportedly working on his new album with an emphasis to keep it beef-free.

"The R.E.D. Album, people think the R.E.D. stands for gangbanging," he said. "I am what I am. ... R.E.D. That's rededicated. Rededicated to hip-hop ... to my 'hood, Compton. Rededicated to my family, rededicated to everything...It's a step up...it's a little soulful...I was wondering to myself how I'm gonna elevate myself and even change the field. Three albums, what do you talk about after three albums? I ain't selling crack and gangbanging and shooting sh*t up. My beefs have been down low. So what do you really talk about? I just wanna rap, man. I just wanna do music. Whatever it turns out to be, it turns out to be...I'm just gonna rap this time." (MTV)
Yayo recently addressed the negative attention his camp has received since Game's departure around winter 2005.

"Everybody hates G-Unit but we not mad, we making our money and doing what we gotta do," Yayo said in an interview. "The smacking of [The Game's manager] Jimmy Henchman's son, I didn't do it, but he lied and said I did, so the media's just gonna run with that. The New York Daily News went too far with that one, I have three kids, so that's one thing that really bothered me. But I'm used to it, I'm down with G-Unit, nobody likes 50 Cent so nobody likes me...Rick Ross isn't going gold. How much money did Def Jam spend on him?" (Radio Planet TV)

I am sorry but if that was released under yayo I don't think it would have done as good as the game did. At that time the game was going to bring the west coast back so that might have hyped it up a bit more then if was just a yayo album.
