According to USA Today, the Canadian rapper sits atop a list by Networked Insights, who determined the rankings after a 12-month analysis of social conversations.

The Young Money artist beat out the likes of Kanye West, Jay-Z, his boss Lil Wayne, and other notable rappers for the #1 with over 46 million total social conversations, nearly double the runner-up.

The report says Drake showed the most consistency numbers over time, while others saw dramatic spikes when newsworthy items made headlines -- the release of Yeezsus, and Jay-Z's chatter around Magna Carta Holy Grail for example.
