A reunited D12 have announced dates for their upcoming "Dazed and Dirty" Tour this week, alongside weed-smoking, Humboldt County hip-hop duo Potluck.
The tour will kick off on August 16th in Scottsdale, AZ and run throughout September with the final show in D12's hometown of Detroit, MI on September 26th.
"It seems like we love to go on tour with MCs from Detroit. We first got news about this when we were on tour with Twiztid and they told us how cool Bizarre and the D12 crew are. They said that it would be a good tour for us to do," says 1 Ton from Potluck. "D12 has been putting it down on the underground way before they got a chance to take it to the next level, so I think it will be a good match. You take their style and combine it with our Pothead hip-hop fans and it should be a great time. This tour will be a grand celebration for all who come to the show and party with us."
D-12, also known as the Dirty Dozen, is a collection of some of the best Detroit has to offer, including members Bizarre, Swift, Kon Artis, Kuniva and Eminem. The late Proof was also a member. They've released a series of highly successful albums including their 2001 debut Devil's Night, and 2004's D12 World, both of which debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top 200.
The tour is the first time the Detroit based group will hit the road since the death of founding member Proof.
Crowned the hip-hop royalty of Humboldt, CA, Potluck's infectious brand of rhyme has been reigniting an otherwise extinguished hip-hop game. The group released a series of independent albums all of which express their love for the plant they love to smoke. Their latest album is titled Pipe Dreams.
