Ras Kass Soul On Ice was suppose to be first 6 mics album by The Source

From what I understand at time the album was ready in 95 (!) The Source have heard 80% of it and gave it the rating we see today as 3/5 mics. They didn't hear Nature Of The Threat which would gurantee Ras 6 mics rating as some insiders say. Reason why the album was released year later was that Ras wanted to settle the issues concerning record label to secure his finances.

I don't know which magainze number the review was published in, but it was in 95 still it may add up.

I had that Source issue and a promo for that back then, with the Jack frost nipping at your nose shit (disappointed it wasnt on retail!). Loved it then and still not too bad now (1/2 the songs still hold up decent). Really sad to hear the shit he's made in the last decade. :/ Ever since Goldyn Chyld he's fallen way over. Just rapping nonsense and being bland. I thought you knew it goes down! (still get hyped over that shit!)
