Law officials are reportedly approaching this case as a homicide.
Suge Knight has reportedly turned himself in to authorities.
According to ABC7 Eyewitness News, Knight was arrested for the murder he was involved in at Tam’s Burger parking lot in Los Angeles, CA this morning (January 30).
The former Death Row CEO, was apprehended shortly after midnight, at a West Hollywood police station.
The law offices of James E. Blatt, Knight's attorney has confirmed to HipHopDX that its client Marion "Suge" Knight was involved in the hit-and-run incident that killed Terry Carter.
Additional details have been sparse.
According to TMZ, Knight was in an altercation with two men on the set of a film project that took place on the 1200 block of West Rosecrans Avenue.
The publication also reports that while attempting to leave the scene following the fight, Knight jumped into his car and accidentally ran over his friend, Terry Carter who was attempting to get into the vehicle with Knight. Carter was later pronounced dead.
The other victim’s condition is unknown.

But Knight’s lawyer, James Blatt, has told reporters the incident was unintentional and that his client feared for his life. Blatt assured TMZ that the murder charge will not be filed because Suge was acting in self defense.
Knight is being held on suspicion of murder in the fatal accident, following a fight on set of the N.W.A biopic Straight Outta Compton.
ABC7 Southern California affiliate tweeted a picture of Knight arriving at the police station.
