Deso Dogg, now known as Abu Talha al-Almani, added to the United States' terror blacklist.
According to NBC News, a former German rapper by the name of Deso Dogg (real name Denis Cuspert) has been added to the United States’ terror blacklist due to his alleged ties with the terrorist organization known as ISIS.
The State Department has revealed added information on Cuspert, who now goes by the name Abu Talha al-Almani, and his ties with ISIS.
Cuspert reportedly joined ISIS in 2012, and in the process pledged allegiance to the group’s leader. According to the State Department, the former musician also appeared in an ISIS video “holding a severed head he claims belongs to a man executed for opposing.”
The State Department also dubbed Cuspert a "willing pitchman" for ISIS and says he’s currently a "foreign terrorist fighter and operative" for the terrorist group.
NBC News reports that the German newspaper, Die Welt am Sonntag has revealed that Cuspert could possibly be charged with war crimes upon being caught.
Additionally, it’s been rumored that Cuspert may have been injured or killed in Syria
