N.O.R.E. also discusses creating a new legacy and introduces his latest group dubbed the Good Belt Gang.
During a recent stop through Sway In The Morning, N.O.R.E. revealed the release date for Capone-N-Noreaga’s upcoming album.
“Actually we got a C-N-N album coming too,” he says. “It actually comes out — everybody probably gonna kill me but it’s coming out June 16. The album is already done [and] handed in.”
N.O.R.E. Introduces The Good Belt Gang
Later in the conversation, N.O.R.E. introduced his latest musical venture, the Good Belt Gang, consisting of members City Boy Dee, Yung Reallie, D Tweez 4 Da Cheese, Sanogram, Black Boy Cocca and Money Ming. The Good Belt Gang are currently signed to Penalty Entertainment via N.O.R.E.’s Militainment production company.
Outlining his intentions with the collective, N.O.R.E. says it’s important for him to create a new legacy as he doesn’t want to live off of anything from his past.
“To be 100 percent real with you, I’m just [at] a point in my life where I don’t want to live off anything old,” N.O.R.E. says. “Anything old doesn’t pay my bills now. So of course I wanna promote C-N-N and we gon’ go out and have fun and do the European tour and the North East tour or whatever but I just know how important it is for me to lead a new legacy with the Good Belt Gang. [With] Sanogram, City Boy Dee, [D Tweez 4 Da Cheese], Money Ming, Black Boy Cocca [and] Yung Reallie. I just really know that if one of these guy’s careers pop off, it’s gonna give me another 10 years. Now I don’t wanna be behind this mic for another 10 years.
“I want them to understand that this is a business,” N.O.R.E. adds. “No matter how far you get, this is a business so take it as such.”
In October of last year, N.O.R.E. said his venture with the Good Belt Gang was natural progression for him.
“It’s just the next part of my career," N.O.R.E. said in an exclusive conversation with HipHopDX. “I really enjoy being a CEO. I really enjoy helping, just like I was molded, I really enjoy shaping and molding the careers of other individuals.”
