Ice T announced that the first ever Art of Rap Music Festival will take place this summer and he and The Game will serve as the headliners. With performances on July 18th and 19th, old school emcees like Rakim, EPMD, Big Daddy Kane, Doug E. Fresh, Melle Mel, Kurtis Blow, Slick Rick, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Warren G and more are slated to hit the stage.
“Hip Hop is crucial to many peoples lives and The Art Of Rap is the true game of Hip Hop!,” said Mickey Bentson, Co-Founder of The Universal Zulu Nation.
The festival will also feature break dancers and live graffiti artists. The festival will be hosted at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in Irvine, CA on the 18th and at the Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View, CA on the 19th. Lineups are expected to vary by city.
