Bizzy Bone Responds To Bone thugs-n-harmony Being Left Off Rolling Stone's "Top 100 Hip Hop Songs" List

"I think it gave us room to have a second wind," Bizzy Bone says.

Earlier this year, shortly after Rolling Stone released a special "The 100 Greatest Hip-Hop Songs" edition of its magazine, rapper Layzie Bone blasted the publication for leaving Bone thugs-n-harmony off the list.

Sitting down with HipHopDX's Ural Garrett for a recent interview, Bizzy Bone offered a different perspective of the group's absence from the feature.

"I think it gave us room to have a second wind," he said. "I really think that it gives us the room to do the Aerosmith, Megadeth, Beatles, kind of Hip Hop move. I think if we're totally out of the game, I think then 'Crossroads' will surface. But while we're around, I don't think it's like, 'C'mon, c'mon, c'mon, we see you touring. C'mon.' To me it's an opportunity Rolling Stone is trying to give us more than anything else subliminally. If not I'm a lunatic anyway, so keep it rockin'."

I think they should be allowed to work a good portion of the new Pac material being released. They've always had GREAT hard-hitting, quality sounding beats that match emotion and soul perfectly, just like Pac and JJ were. Listen to their latest stuff like Determination, Rebirth, Wind Blow, Young Thugz, Meet Me in the Sky, etc.
