Chuck D also details Public Enemy's "Man Plans, God Laughs" album
Chuck D and members of his crew were recently at the BMI Hip Hop & RNB Awards as HipHopDX was able to catch up with him.
Speaking with HipHopDX Senior News Writer Victoria Hernandez, the Queens emcee spoke about being represented subtly in the NWA biopic, Straight Outta Compton.
"We were involved when we were working with [Ice] Cube when Cube was coming out of that situation and we said, 'Look man, it's important that you do this for a long time, do your best to keep it together. You're not going to keep the frictions of every little thing but it's like reliving a little part of our life,'" he said via a segment of today's (September 15) DX Daily.
The Public Enemy rapper also talked about the groups forthcoming Man Plans, God Laughs album.
"People think that they all have it figured out but fate is a MF and it's going to happen," Chuck D said. "Man plans but God laughs but the point is plan anyway."
