  • Fabolous Looks To Biggie, Pac & Eminem For Album Theme

Fabolous recently spoke on his Loso's Way album and the importance of sparking a return to themes in rap.

Speaking with radio personality DJ Clue about what makes his fifth album different than past releases, F-a-b-o said he was aiming to bring back the creativity found in albums from the 1990's.

"Of course the theme," Fab said about the album's difference from previous releases. "I wanted to take it back to doing the theme. All those albums back in the day, they had those themes to it. Think of the Biggie, the Pac joints even most of Eminem's albums have a theme to it. It helps you get into that world of the album a little bit and dig it a little bit more. So I wanted to get back into that, but some of the joints are away from the theme but they're still good for the music and play well." (Best of Both Offices)
Along with theme, Fab recently said the project would touch on his personal life.

"A lot of these things I talked about from this album [are personal]," Fab said in an interview. "I talked about becoming a father for the first time and actually my relationship with my father and that feeling even knowing now that feeling of being a father and how our relationship was different. I also talk about the changing of friendships and relationships. When you come into the game and some of the friends you had when you first came in the game are not here now. Talk about that and talk about how that's a part of the game as well. And a little bit of my career. I feel some points I'm underrated and everybody hasn't gotten me yet so I talk about that as a situation and how I've had longevity and been able to stay in the game and stay afloat with not some of the other things everybody has had to just keep them afloat." The new release is accompanied with a DVD movie featuring Fab, Styles P and more.
