  • The Charts: Fabolous Scores First Chart-topping Debut With Loso’s Way

In this week's charts, we see a brand new album from Fabolous taking the top spot for the first time in his career, while Maxwell and the Black Eyed Peas continued their sales-spree.

Fab's new album, Loso's Way, opens on the Billboard 200 at no. 1, selling 99,000 copies in its first week. As mentioned, it's his first chart-topping set and fifth within the top 10. His previously best came with 2007's From Nothin' to Somethin', which debuted at no. 2, selling 159,000.

Two spots down, at no. 3 is Maxwell's BLACKsummers'night, selling 55,000 copies, while the Black Eyed Peas' The E.N.D. moves up one spot to no. 5 with 49,000.

Ending the top 10 is Lady GaGa's The Fame, selling 27,000.

Later, at no. 13 is Eminem's Relapse, selling 24,000, putting his album over the 1.3 million mark.

That does it for this week's top 20 albums.

According to Billboard.com, overall album sales in this past chart week (ending August 2) totaled 5.96 million units, down 4.6% compared to the sum last week (7.35 million) and down 19.4% compared to the same sales week of 2008 (7.36 million)
