Seven years after his blockbuster solo debut 'The Chronic' permanently altered the state of the music industry and redefined the sound of west coast rap, Dr. Dre still had a chip on his shoulder. The former N.W.A. kingpin channeled that determination into the long-gestating follow-up ‘2001,’ which brought back previous collaborators like Snoop Dogg alongside his latest protégé, Eminem. The album was an immense success, anchored by now classic singles ‘Still D.R.E.,’ ‘Forgot About Dre,’ and ‘The Next Episode’. To mark the 20th anniversary of its release, Dre and music mogul Jimmy Iovine reminisce about the album’s creation and its legacy.

I would also say, "2001" changed the course of my life forever. It influenced my taste in music moving forward and introduced me to Eminem in high school. "2001" is my favorite album by Dr. Dre. I like it more than "The Chronic". I also own the hard copy. I only ripped my favorite songs:
02 The Watcher
04 Still D.R.E.
06 Xxplosive
07 What's the Difference
10 Forgot About Dre
11 The Next Episode
12 Let's Get High

"If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you.
If you were of the world, the world will love you as it's own; but because you are not of the world,
but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you."
-John 15:18-19
"I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death."
-Revelation 1:18
"They claim that I'm violent."
-Tupac Shakur
