When asked about the area being known for a high presence of Bloods, Mack 10 explained that he was never pushed to join, but he added that sometimes you were involved even if you weren't affiliated. Mack 10 Met Eazy-E Before Ice Cube, Eazy Paid "Out of His Sock" to Write Verses (Part 2)
In this clip, Mack 10 opened up about first thinking about rapping when he was in junior high and being the first rapper to break and make a name for himself in hip-hop. He also shared a story about meeting Eazy-E through a girl in his neighborhood and Eazy reaching out for some verses. Mack 10 on Ice Cube Dissing Common on Mack's Album, Common Responding (Part 4)

Mack 10: Westside Connection Broke Up After Ice Cube's Brother-in-Law Got Beat Up (Part 7)
In this clip, Mack 10 talked about the friction that ultimately drove Westside Connection apart. Mack 10 spoke about his issue with Ice Cube's brother-in-law and how things have not been reconciled with Cube since. He also recounted Ice Cube's beef with Cypress Hill over the accusation that Cube stole the hook for the song "Friday" from Cypress. Mack 10 fully engaged in the conflict between Cube and Cypress but admitted that back then he had no idea what the issue was over.
