Watching this, there were three takeaways for me.
1) Watching DMX talk and move gives me anxiety. All those years of drug abuse, man. Hope he can stay clean for good. Tough stuff. He WAS lip-syncing at times and doing his own adlibs because he was out of breath. I also think he forgot some lyrics. Snoop is so polished in the live performance aspect.
2) Not that I didn't know this, but Snoop's catalog is DEEP. He was dropping song after song and had barely scratched the surface of his hits PRIOR TO 2000 more than halfway through. Unreal.
3) X is dope, don't get me wrong. When It's Dark and Hell is Hot and Flesh of My Flesh dropped, that was all I listened to that year. But for me, X represents a specific period in time, whereas Snoop, he has been relevant in every period of hip-hop since the early 90s. Whether or not you like Snoop, his longevity and ability to sustain relevance is really incredible.

Definitely the best Verzuz battle yet.
