  • Dallas Cowboys' Josh Brent Indicted On Intoxication Manslaughter

Dallas Cowboys nose tackle, Josh Brent, was formally indicted on one count of intoxication manslaughter this week by a grand jury in Texas.

According to ESPN.com, the 24-year-old NFL pro was charged in connection with a December 8th crash that killed his friend and Cowboys practice squad member Jerry Brown.

Reports say Brent was speeding when his vehicle struck a curb and flipped, killing Brown. At the time, his blood-alcohol limit was 0.18, more than twice the legal limit.

Brent is currently out of jail on $100,000 bond.

Intoxication manslaughter carries a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison. Brent could be eligible for probation.

His next court date have yet to be scheduled.
