Been away for a week (on a cruise) but I did get to catch the games at Carnival's EA Sports Bar all 3 games (3, 4, 5). Congrats to them Miami boys for getting it done. You kind of feel for Durant when you see him crying on his mother's shoulder, but his time will come. Like Lebron said though, "It's about damn time". No longer can people use "the ringless king" as a joke. He's solidified his legacy. He's officially off the Charles Barkley/Karl Malone/Patrick Ewing (legends that never got a ring) list.

[MENTION=2717]LabelMeAnOutlaw They may not be talking about how he's ringless, but I've seen on the net people joking about how the guy only has one ring (after he promised 7) and how he won in a shortened season. For me, when you look at Lebron in game 6 vs. Boston and onward compared to previous finals efforts, the differences are night and day. To me it felt like Lebron has finally grown and discovered who he was as a player. He won't bring 7 championships to Miami but he WILL bring multiple championships for them. I actually wouldn't be surprised if Miami won again next year, provided they kept their core players and add new pieces where they're needed (I've been hearing rumors about Steve Nash and Ray Allen coming over, but who knows? we'll see...).

Dallas has the same problems as LA, but the presence of Tyson Chandler is sorely missed in the defensive end and in second chance points. Marion is great on defense but he can only do so much. As far as rumors go I've heard stuff about D. Will and Dwight considering Dallas (it'll be lights out if any team in the west gets Howard).
Rockets and Hornets... don't know much about them to make any comments.
Denver took LA to 7 games, I feel that they'll be alright next year after watching them play. Just couldn't get the job done.
LA Clippers... they'll contend as long as they have CP3.
Spurs and Thunder will be the kings of the west, but I'm giving it to OKC simply because their players are younger and will only get better with time (provided that they keep their core role players).
The east is gonna be a joke next year. The Bulls will miss Rose for most of the season (but they should make the playoffs, what seed they'll place in idk). Boston's role players (with the exception of Rondo) are getting older, so the rebuilding process is gonna take a while to do. So you're left with the Hawks, Pacers, 76ers and Magic, all of those teams would lose to a healthy Miami team (of course with the rookies/trades going on next year I'm sure they'll be matchups on both ends that'll shake things up but Lord knows)
tl;dr: I believe OKC and Miami are gonna dominate the east and the west for a while.Last edited by H.O.V.A.; 06-24-2012, 03:20 AM.A lil over a year ago I was in bondage

Originally posted by LabelMeAnOutlaw View PostLmao, that's just pathetic. As for the shortened season, if anything should be said about it, it should be that it was harder than a regular season. Did you notice how many people went down with injury? Perhaps they couldn't handle the demand of the compacted season. Also, does anybody discount the Spurs' championship back in '99 when they won in that lockout season? People are really grasping at straws I see.A lil over a year ago I was in bondage
