  • Lakers fire coach Mike Brown

    Bye Bye Mr. Potato head.

After losing four of five games to start the season, the Los Angeles Lakers fired coach Mike Brown on Friday.

    Update

A league source said D'Antoni gets a three-year deal worth $12 million with a club option in the fourth year. D'Antoni's agent Warren LeGarie confirmed the deal late Sunday night
The Lakers, in a wholly unexpected move, announced Monday morning that they signed former Suns and Knicks coach Mike D'Antoni to replace Mike Brown as head coach.

If Stan Van Gundy and Dwight didn't hate eachother, Stan would put the Lakers at their potential spot

Possible replacement at this time is Phil Jackson.

He suddenly cancelled the event he Chicago where he was to be a key note speaker.
He suddenly appeared at the Lakers practice facility yesterday a mere hours after they fire their coach.
Howard always said he wanted to play under Phil
          Kobe loves Phil.
Phil has been quoted as saying he's more than interested in the position. Hum......

Haha I knew that the Lakers weren't gonna get Phil Jackson. Don't blame the organization for turning him down though, dude was asking for too much.
A lil over a year ago I was in bondage
& now I'm back out here reaping the blessings
& getting the benefits that go along with it
Everythin that's out here for kings like us
The reason why we like this this jewelry & this diamonds & stuff
They don't understand is because we really from Africa
& that's where all this stuff come from
                & we originated from kings

What do you mean? It's not like he was asking for 8 figures, to get half the season off (no travelling), and asking for ownership of the team.
