  • Lebron James Sets NBA Record In Amazing Offensive Streak

LeBron James set a new NBA record on Tuesday evening (February 12) with his amazing scoring streak of at least 30 points and 60% shooting in six straight games.

The Miami Heat superstar scored 30 points on 11-of-15 shooting Tuesday to get into the NBA record books, and his team took a "W" over the Portland Trail Blazers 117-104.

"I'm at a loss for words," James said in a televised postgame interview. "Like I say over and over, I know the history of the game. I know how many unbelievable players who came through the ranks, who paved the way for me and my teammates. And for me to be in the record books by myself with such a stat -- any stat -- it's big-time."

His run has been unbelievable too. James has made 66 of his past 92 shots, over the past six games -- and is an absurd 60 for 80, or 75% in his last 188 minutes of court time. According to the Heat, only Adrian Dantley and Moses Malone had done the 30-point, 60% streak in five straight outings before James joined their club.

"That's why he is who he is," Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said. "The best player in the game."

He's had a crazy streak that's for sure. Best player in the game right now bar none (as much as I hate to admit it).
