Toronto Raptors rookie, Terrence Ross, is the 2013 Sprite NBA Slam Dunk Champion, after he defeated defending champ Jeremy Evans in the finale to All-Star Saturday (February 16).
The 22-year-old, who hasn't seen a ton of playing time this season, leapfrogged Michael Costolo (son of Twitter CEO Dick Costolo) took the ball between his legs and threw down a one-handed dunk to earn a 50, back-to-back.
"I told him the day before that I was going to jump over him, but I never told him I was going to go through the legs," Ross said. "He was kind of nervous. When I first grabbed him, he said, 'You're not going to hit me, right?' I said, 'No, I'm not going to hit you.' "
Other winners Saturday, included Trail Blazers' Damian Lillard, who became the first rookie to win the Taco Bells Skills Challenge; and the Cavs' Kyrie Irving, who won the Foot Locker Three-Point Contest.
