Jay-Z is now officially licensed to work as an NBA agent, reports ESPN.com.
Roc Nation Sports spokesman, Ron Berkowitz, told the sports network that, as of this week, the hip-hop superstar is now certified with the National Basketball Players Association, alongside Roc President, Juan Perez.
It's still unclear when Jay actually can represent players... because, sources say, he's yet to sell off his small share (less than 1%) of the Brooklyn Nets. Owners of NBA teams cannot represent players.
The first NBA player Jay-Z is expected to sign is Oklahoma City Thunder star Kevin Durant, who told his agent Rob Pelinka recently that he would sign with Jay-Z, though the NBA star hasn't commented publicly.
Since launching Roc Nation Sports, Jay-Z's firm has signed New York Yankees second baseman Robinson Cano, New York Jets quarterback Geno Smith, and former Notre Dame guard Skylar Diggins, who recently was selected third by the Tulsa Shock in the WNBA draft.
