  • 50 Cent Severs Ties With Boxing Company, TMT Promotions

50 Cent surprised people in September, when he revealed plans to launch a boxing promotions company with Floyd Mayweather rival Manny Pacquiao, sparking rumors of a rift between Fif and Floyd.

Apparently something is happening between the once close friends, because 50 took to Twitter (@50Cent) on Halloween (October 31) to announce that TMT (The Money Team) Promotions is caput.

"I'm no longer apart or down with TMT promotions. SMSaudio," he wrote. "I move the fighters to SMSpromotion cause the other half of the money team .Didnt put up there $MONEY$.SMSaudio. If anyone wants a money team jacket I’m selling mine for a dollar. The nap back hat comes with it. That’s a fare price. SMSaudio."

Fif, who became a licensed boxing promoter earlier this year, originally formed the company with Mayweather under the title TMT Promotions. They signed Yuriorkis Gamboa to the company in late July.

In late September, however, 50 was seen with Manny Pacquaio, and the pair had reportedly entered into an agreement for the launch of their own boxing promotions company together. The status of the deal was unknown at press time.

Mayweather hasn't commented on 50 Cent's departure. He did, however, begin promoting The Money Team via Twitter, and even launched an official Twitter profile for it: @TheMoneyTeam.
