  • Andy Reid Officially Head Coach Of Kansas City Chiefs

On week after being fired from his post with the Philadelphia Eagles, Andy Reid has been officially introduced as the new head coach of the Kansas City Chiefs.

The 54-year-old coach takes over for Romeo Crennel, who went 2-14 in his first full season as coach this past NFL season. Crennel was fired last Monday (December 31), the same day Reid was dismissed.

"I understand the energy that I have and that I bring to this organization," Reid said during the press conference, according to ESPN.com. "We'll start from the bottom and we'll start working. I'll bring in a good staff and we'll get down to what's important."

He'll have his work cut out for him though. The Chief's 2-14 season was the worst season of its 53-year history.

As the head coach of the Eagles, Ried records 130 wins, six division titles, and a single appearance in the Super Bowl.
