  • AMC's The Killing Season 2 Premiere's Sunday Night!

I really liked the first season of The Killing and have been waiting patiently for a year for the show to return it is another great series put together buy the amc channel who as you know also brings us the walking dead.I have posted some information below about this great series which i recommend and if anyone is interested in episodes i can post the entire season if needed.

The Killing is an American crime drama television series based on the Danish television series with the same English title, but known as Forbrydelsen (The Crime) in Danish. The American version was developed by Veena Sud and produced by Fox Television Studios and Fuse Entertainment. The series' first season, consisting of 13 hour-long episodes, premiered on the cable channel AMC on April 3, 2011, with a two-hour premiere. On June 13, 2011, AMC ordered a second season that will contain 13 episodes, which will debut on April 1, 2012, with a two-hour premiere.

When The Killing debuted last April, it was met with widespread acclaim, with critics praising both Mireille Enos and Joel Kinnaman and the compelling story line. When The Killing wrapped up its first season, it was met with widespread vitriol, with critics lashing out at creator/showrunner Veena Cabreros Sud for not answering the season's fundamental question: Who killed Rosie Larsen? Well... they did answer that question... until it was discovered that answer was a lie, with a few crazy last-minute twists. I don't know if I've ever seen such a vile reaction towards an episode of TV since the series finale of The Sopranos. I personally loved it, and didn't feel 'robbed' like so many did by The Killing finale. As far as I know, there was never any guarantee that we would know who killed Rosie Larsen by the end of Season 1, and people reacted like it was the end of the god damn world that we didn't get that answer. As we start Season 2 with the two-parter Episode 2.01: Reflections and Episode 2.02: My Lucky Day, the answer we all want doesn't seem to be any closer, but the other questions it raises are just as compelling as ever.

Synopsis : Follows the police investigation of the murder of a young girl, tying together three interlocking stories as investigators chase a variety of leads.
In Seattle, Det. Sarah Linden is on what is supposed to be her last day on the job. She and her son Jack are supposed to leave that evening to join her fiancé in Sonoma. Her replacement, Det. Stephen Holder, is ready to take over but they answer a call from a patrol car who have found a bloodied sweater in a field. When the missing girl, Rosie Larsen, is found in the trunk of a car at the bottom of a lake it turns out the car is registered to the campaign committee for councilman Darren Richmond, who is running for mayor. Linden delays her departure for what she hopes will be only a few days.
