A new on-set snapshot from the seventh season of “Dexter” provides some decent support for their assertion that they’ll tackle Deborah’s simultaneous love declaration and discovery of Dexter’s dark passenger head on. Executive producer Scott Buck tells TV Guide, “Viewers might think we shy away from that moment of Debra walking in and seeing Dexter stabbing into Travis’ chest, but it’s just the opposite. She now has to deal with what she’s seen and what she knows. And it forces him to defend and define himself.”
For those of you keeping tabs on new characters, Matt Gerald (Avatar, “The Shield”) joined up for a multi-episode arc as a violent blue-collar criminal. Katia Winter (Arena) was cast as a Russian stripper who works in a Miami club. She joined fellow Season 7 newbie Ray Stevenson (“Rome”), who was recently cast a high-ranking member of an Eastern European crime ring who arrives in Miami determined to learn who killed one of his associates, and TV vet Jason Gedrick as the owner of the club where Winter’s character works.
“Dexter”‘s seventh season is set to premiere Sunday, September 30.
