  • Quarterly ‘Walking Dead’ Magazine Launches In October!

Image Comics in partnership with Titan Magazines are getting ready to launch the first issue of the official magazine for The Walking Dead. The magazine will be released on a quarterly basis, and the first issue is set for release on October 23rd, just in time for the AMC premiere of season three. Inside will be loads of sweet details about Robert Kirkman’s series, behind the scenes looks of the TV show, and plenty more about the undead wanderers.

The magazine will be around 100 pages, offering alternate covers, and other extra goodies for those “Walking Dead” collectors out there.

Kirkman said about the project, “This magazine will be your one stop destination for all the news pertaining to the comic, TV show, video game, toys, games and whatever else exists in the ever-expanding Walking Dead universe. If it’s happening, you’ll find out all about it right here!”

The Hollywood Reporter announced that the issues “will also go inside the writers’ room and feature interviews with executive producers like Glen Mazzara and stars including Lincoln (who graces the cover of the first issue), Sarah Wayne Callies (Lori) as well as Jon Bernthal, whose fan-favorite character Shane was killed in Season 2.”

“The Walking Dead” magazine will only be available in North America in October. If you live in the U.K. you will have to wait until November 8th, and if you live in Australia or New Zealand, you’ll have to wait extra long, until December 18th (better get out those Christmas lists early). No subscription details are available yet, but expect to see them soon on the online store.

In case you live under a rock, the 100th issue of the comic book series is set for release in two weeks. Even if you don’t collect them, buy this one, you’ll thank me down the line.
