Actor to play dual roles in an upcoming Season 24 episode.
As fate would have it, Sherlock's Benedict Cumberbatch will be guest starring in a dual role for an upcoming episode of The Simpsons: Season 24.
According to TVLine, Cumberbatch will play the British Prime Minister as well as a snake-like character in the episode titled "Love is a Many-Splintered Thing."
When asked about the spot, Cumberbatch revealed that the casting happened quite by accident. The actor happened to have a meeting in the studio where the new season was being recorded and heard that there was an uncast role. "I said, 'I hate to muscle in here, guys, but could I record it?' Next thing, I’m standing in a room with all those famous voices: Bart, Marge, Homer, Lisa," he told InStyle Magazine.
