DirecTV and Netflix in talks to revive the FX series.
There's still hope for The Killing after all! DirecTV and Netflix are currently eyeing the series for a revival.
TVLine reported the news, saying both companies are in early talks with the show's production company, Fox TV Studios, to pick up a third season of the series, after AMC cancelled it. While a rep from Netflix declined to comment, a spokesperson from DirecTV told TVLine, "We are constantly having conversations about bringing new shows to Audience Network, and we do take a look at everything that is available, but we haven't made any decisions this summer in regards to new programming."

Said leading man Joel Kinnaman of another season, "We've invested a lot in these characters and want to see how they continue their journey. I feel like Linden and Holder [are] just [getting] started."
This isn't the first time DirecTV and Netflix have thrown a lifeline out to a dying television series. DirecTV has rescued two critical hits, Friday Night Lights and Damages, while Netflix breathed new life into the cult-comedy series Arrested Development.
