Deadline reports that two of Kubrick's unproduced screenplays are getting the TV treatment courtesy of a production company called Entertainment One.
The first, Downslope, "is an epic Civil War drama following the activities of Confederate Army Colonel John S. Mosby and his plot to settle the score after Custer captures and hangs several of his men." That will be a TV movie, while God Fearing Man will be a mini-series that "tells the true story of Canadian minister Herbert Emerson Wilson who became one of the best safe-crackers and most successful bank robbers in America in the early 20th century."
GFM comes from an original screenplay by Kubrick but was rewritten by Stephen R. Clarke, but it should still be pretty cool to see "new" work from one of cinema's biggest legends coming to a small screen near you. Which project are you looking forward to more?
