  • Battlestar Galactica's Ron Moore Bringing A Knight's Tale to TV

The genius mind behind Syfy's Battlestar Galactica is adapting the 2001 Heath Ledger film, about a fake knight, for ABC.

According to Deadline, the creator of Syfy's Battlestar Galactica, Ron Moore, is adapting the 2001 Heath Ledger movie, A Knight's Tale, as a potential series for ABC.

ABC has bought the project, from Sony Pictures TV, with a script commitment. This new televised version of the Ledger film, which also starred Shannyn Sossamon, Marky Addy, Alan Tudyk and Paul Bettany, is expected to stay close to the original story of a commoner posing as a knight, as well as contain the same off-beat style, complete with the addition of modern music. In the 2001 film, the songs "We Will Rock You" by Queen, "Low Rider" by War, "Golden Years" by David Bowie and others were used, despite being anachronisms.
