Seth MacFarlane and Fox continue to broaden their business relationship. THR reports that the network has placed a pilot order with series penalty commitment for a live-action comedy from MacFarlane and the writers of Ted. The untitled project will be written and executive produced by Ted co-writers Alec Sulkin and Wellesley Wild, with MacFarlane serving as exec producer.
The single-camera comedy follows "two successful guys in their 30s and the insanity that ensues after their crazy fathers unexpectedly move in with them."
Sulkin and Wild have previously worked with MacFarlane on Family Guy and The Cleveland Show. If this show gets picked up, it will be MacFarlane's first live-action show since 2007's The Winner. MacFarlane's animated take on The Flinstones is currently on hold with the network. A sequel to Ted is currently being considered, but that is understandable after it grossed more than $400 million worldwide.
