A month or so ago we got word that The CW was looking to usher in a television series that was in the vein of Battle Royale or quite simply a television version of Battle Royale. However that doesn’t exactly seem to be the case.
Today, Deadline reported that The CW had bought the spec, titled Sick, a series about a world where youths are quarantined after a mysterious virus makes adults allergic to teenagers.
Granted it sounds a little weak, but, it is said to be in the vein of Contagion meets Battle Royale, so who knows, this may just have something, or not?
The show is said to follow “a band of teens who escape from their containment units and go on the run from authorities.”
The script for Sick was penned by Trey Callaway and Sean Hood.
