With “American Horror Story: Asylum concluding next Wednesday it’s (apparently) time to start discussing “American Horror Story: Season 3″ (I’m sure the new subtitle will come later). There was a press screening of this season’s last episode tonight. In Episode 2.13 “Madness Ends,” “Johnny sets out to complete his father’s work. Lana leads the charge to finally shut down Briarcliff.” Written by Tim Minear; directed by Alfonso Gomez-Rejon.
But the juicy part came during the Q&A, in which Ryan Murphy spilled some details (per THR) regarding next year’s season. First off? Sarah Paulson (pictured above) and Evan Peters (pictured inside) will be returning.
Want more details? Including hints at the time period and setting? There’s more inside…
- It will once again center around Jessica Lange. She will be playing a “really glamor-cat sort of lady.”
- Murphy says it’s a “modern day story.”
- Actors from Season One – actors who weren’t in Season 2 – will be returning.
- Even though it’s a modern story, Murphy says, ““What season three is about is more historical in nature… I’m also interested in getting into a horror romance. That’s certainly something that’s going to be in the water for season three… You’re going to see a very different tone in season three, but that’s the joy of the show… I think as a person right now I do feel lighter and wanting to embrace something a little bit more fun.”
