  • The Last House on the Left Soundtrack Returns to Vinyl

Belgium-based One Way Static Records will release the original motion picture soundtrack from Wes Craven's 1972 shocker The Last House on the Left this year. The score was composed and performed by the late David Hess and this release will be fully dedicated to his memory, life and career as both an actor and musician who passed in 2011.

The label teamed up with director Wes Craven, producer Sean Cunningham and the Hess family to make the release possible.

Expect the package to contain the full original score which will be available on a deluxe gatefold vinyl edition with printed inner sleeve. A Digipack CD version and Digital Download, with digital booklet, will be included as well.

The vinyl version will contain 17 tracks (the complete original score) and the CD/download version will consist out of 21 tracks (containing 4 bonus tracks from witch 3 tracks are alternate cuts that didn't make it in the movie and 1 being a cover song of "Wait for the Rain" by David Hess's sons Jesse and Bo).

There will also be a limited hand-numbered version of the vinyl release on color vinyl with an extra bonus flexi containing the original 1972 radio spots for the movie. All versions will contain extensive liner notes written by people involved in David's career and the movie (family, friends, agents, directors, musicians, actors, cast and crew).

There is no release date set yet, but we expect it to be available in the first half of 2013.

Edit : Can a mod move this to the movie section please thanks.
