Its pretty much became a running tradition with The Walking Dead TV show. Here we have another season on the horizon, and you know what that means? Yep, you guessed it, yet another new showrunner, well, here’s hoping this one may actually stick around longer than the rest.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Scott Gimple (pictured right) will be the series’ new showrunner for season 4 of The Walking Dead. Also, the series has upped Greg Nicotero and Tom Luse from co-executive producer and producer, respectively, to executive producers.
As well as a new showrunner, season 4 has also scored Matt Negrete (White Collar) as a writer and co-producer.
Joel Stillerman, AMC exec vp original programming said ”Scott’s voice has been an integral one since he joined the show. Greg Nicotero is a true artist whose work is simply brilliant, and Tom Luse has really created the machine that allows this very large show to get made week to week. We congratulate all three in their new roles on the series and look forward to ramping up production on season four.
Season 4 of The Walking Dead will once again feature 16 episodes, and is said to begin filming this May 6th in Atlanta.
