Here’s Your First In-Depth Look at the New Batman TV show

It was announced months ago, but all that we’ve seen from Beware the Batman—the new CGI series featuring the Dark Knight—has been the tiniest of teasers. This new trailer shows a bit more of the show’s version of Bruce Wayne and his Bat-themed vehicles and gadgets.

I can see Professor Pyg from the Grant Morrison run of Batman & Robin and 1990s villain Anarky. Beware the Batman starts airing on Saturday July 13th. What do you like about the clip?

Making it 3D instead of 2D animated was a bad move--it looks so bland because of it. And the art style looks like it's aimed directly at preteen-age kids. Personally, I'd prefer they'd use the old 2D animated Batman design they used in the early 90s. That was one of the only animated shows on that actually had some quality work to it (compare to X-men's show at the time, which was trash). The Batman series was so gritty and well-made. The above video seems to come not even close. It is probably a lot cheaper to produce though, thanks to not being entirely hand-drawn. :|
