  • Stream 530 Episodes of ‘The Simpsons’ Starting in August

FX’s $750 million syndication deal will soon deliver benefits to fans. Starting this August, the first 24 seasons of The Simpsons, totaling 530 episodes, will be available to stream on FX’s new app, FXNOW, which is available to qualifying cable subscribers. Read the full press release below.

Here’s the full press release via Emmy.com.

Beginning this August, fans will have access to 24 complete seasons of The Simpsons – 530 episodes and counting – via FX Networks’ new advertiser-supported “TV Everywhere” app FXNOW, available right now in limited release.

Encompassing programs from the FX, FXX and FXM suite of channels, the app’s initial rollout will service about half of all FX channel subscribers domestically and is underway, the company announced today.

FXNOW’s current anytime-anywhere menu includes such FX shows as Sons of Anarchy, Justified, The Americans, Louie, Archer, Chozen and American Horror Story: Coven; as well as FXX comedies It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, The League, among others. Selections from FX Networks’ substantial feature film library are also in the mix.

In addition to the 24 seasons of Simpsons coming this summer to FXNOW, following seasons of the long-running show will be made available to watch on this platform as each new one begins its first run on the FOX Television network. That is, FXX and FXNOW will deliver access to season 25 in September 2014, when season 26 premieres on FOX.

Similar to HBOGO, the FXNOW app is only available to authenticated, paid-service subscribers of participating cable, satellite and telco providers. Currently companies on board include AT&T U-verse, Cablevision’s Optimum TV, Comcast, Suddenlink and WOW!, with others slated for 2015.

Viewers may also access FXNOW content online via FXNetworks.com, apps for iOS devices (iPhone, iPad), Xbox One, Windows 8 desktop and tablet.

Apps for Android, Xbox 360, Roku and Samsung platforms are set to launch this spring.
