    This looks good, glad they went back to the roots. Maybe we will see the first good sonic game since adventure

      this actually does look good. [MENTION=458]Big Exodus [MENTION=580]mat_turbo i was excited for sonic 4 but it ended up sucking. everyone praised sonic colors but it sucked too. we really need a good sonic game lol. is it that hard to make one?

        Well, Sonic is a character that's struggled to transition from 2D to 3D (yes, even the Sonic Adventure games weren't that great in retrospect). Sonic Unleashed and Sonic Colors did alot of things right, but the formula still needs work. From what I've seen, the modern sections are looking more like the SU/Colors games (leaning towards Unleashed more than Colors), but if you don't like those sections, there's always the classic sections that play like the old Genesis games. Also Sonic 4 was outsourced, the Classic sections are being done by Sonic Team.

        Can't wait for this game, the levels are supposed to be a trip through 20 years of the franchises' history. It's gonna be interesting how Modern Sonic translates into the old school levels and vice-versa. As long the levels are on the same quality of this...
