First Person Shooter Bored?

Last 2-3 days I start playing some shooters. Black Ops, Mw2, Homefront socom etc.

But really after 20 minutes playing the whole time, I was bored.

Its looks like I am a little bit shooter bored at the moment. So much different shooters I played the last years. And 95% of the shooters were a big dissapointment (kilzone, socom, COD Mw2 & COD BO, Homefront etc.

All the shooters that are releasing the days are the same, They are all trying to remake COD4. They all play the same, same kind of SP, MP etc.

There is really no creativity in shooter genre at the moment. The Shooter Genre is the most non innovative genre for the last 1-2 year, they are doing the same over and over again the whole time.

I am not the only one that think like this, Alot shooter fans have the same opinion as I have.

I noticed there are alot new and creative games that are so worth to play. Action adventures, story games etc.

I think I will not buy a new shooter till Battlefield 3 . I hope this game will blow me away. And I think I will focus me now on games like Fallout New vegas, LA Noire and games like that .

How you guys think about this?

Shit man I feel you, I've grown tired of those type of games. After one round I just shut it off, it's not fun anymore for me lol. I sold my 360 but I'm gonna buy one again with Midnight Club: Los Angeles and a steering wheel. I never played any racing games with steering wheels so this should be fun, can't wait to play this game lol.

you should try "Half Life 1" and "Return To Castle Wolfenstein", old but classics any my 2 favorite first person shooters!!!

if you grow up with NES/SNES & Sega Mega Drive/Genesis you should try the game "3D Dot Game Heroes" ...one of the best games and PS3 exclusive.

^yes 3D Dot game heroes is really good. if you are a zelda fan, especially the nes/snes era zelda as exodus said, you have to try this game. its basically a link to the past with better (albeit "dot like" visuals" with every zelda specific character replaced with non zelda characters. other than that its almost identical to a zelda game in everyway, and its surprisingly good.

if thats not your cup of tea, i highly highly recommend portal 2. the game is amazing and should easily win GOTY for 2011, fuk a battlefield 3 or mdw3, those games can do anything "innovative" they want but in the end they will just be stupid FPS. BF3 will be BF2 with better graphics, MW3 will be MW2 with better graphics, period.

Try LA NOIRE, sick game. Its not your casual shooter, requires thinking.
