Freddy Krueger Brings His Nightmares To 'Mortal Kombat' Game

Get ready to fight the face of horror itself, Freddy Krueger, in the final Mortal Kombat DLC. This last downloadable character is straight out of your nightmares.

The new character will hit the live marketplace on August 9, and will probably cost 400 Microsoft points or $4.99 on the PlayStation Network, according to IGN.

He looks ok. Not the best selection of DLC characters. His X-ray move looks bad.

Saw this the other day... Glad to see a worthy MK fighter that isn't a part of the universe... I just wished they'd used original Robert Englund Freddy instead. Now if only we can get them to add Pinhead, Jason Voorhees, Leatherface, Michael Myers, Djinn (from wishmaster), Leprechaun, Chuckie, and Captain Spalding or Otis (from House of 1000 Corpses) along with ASH (from Evil Dead) and we'd have the ultimate line up.

(DLC could include an Alien and a Predator of course)

Bringing Freddy into this just ruins the entire MK franchise, you might as well just make a G.O.A.T Horror Movie Character fighting game.

Just bought this fighter. Pretty easy to get a hang of his special moves. Wish he had a second costume (original freddy one)

I bought Freddy yesterday aswell. Im a big fan of the original movie, so it was nice to see that throw back fatality. Freddy is an overall cool character don't know why so many Mk fans hate on him being part of the game
