Following today's news that Dragon's Dogma has surpassed the 1 million sales mark and that a series is planned for Capcom's quirky RPG, the first details of the sequel have emerged straight from the game's creator, Hideaki Itsuno.
Apparently, Itsuno wants to bring a quest creation system that failed to make the cut for Dragon's Dogma to the follow-up, as well as an expanded game world. According to Itsuno, Dragon's Dogma's world of Gransys was two-thirds the size of what was originally intended and only 60-70% of his ideas made it into the game.
Other ideas include being able to run on top of enemies and jumping to grab hold of them, while quest creation would enable you to make objectives for your hero and accompanying pawns to embark upon and complete. Dragon's Dogma 2 is in development then, which means there'll likely be more details around the corner.
