Warner Bros. has officially announced the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes video game that will be coming to all major consoles and handhelds this autumn.
It's a little weird to see Warner Bros. who mostly deals with DC comics properties play around with the Marvel universe. Up until this point the LEGO games have only featured DC characters, and movies like Harry Potter. It makes me wonder if we'll see the DC and Marvel world cross paths at some point in the LEGO universe.
The game will "complement" the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes toy sets, which combines characters and vehicles from the rich Marvel universe. So far they have released eight sets, featuring Iron Man, Spider-Man, and the X-Men.
The game will feature an original storyline in which Nick Fury will enlist the help of Iron man, the Hulk, Thor, Spider-Man, Wolverine, Deadpool, and several other heroes from Marvel Universe to save Earth from Loki and Galactus, the Devourer of Worlds. There will be over 100 Marvel characters that can be unlocked.
I don't really play the LEGO games, but I hear they're a lot of fun. I'm sure fans of the games and the Marvel Universe will have some fun with this game. Here's the full press release with more details....
