  • A suggestion for the future

Personally, I have been gaming with a PC ever since in kindergarten playing Red Alert 1 and Quake 2 and the old games. I know a lot especially about the Hardware side to computers. Maybe you do know, maybe you don't but it is said that the Xbox 2 is coming out eventually, PS4 blah blah. But from what I know, there's basically a graph with a line showing graphics and computer power from like 2003 - Present. First it went steady, then Half-Life 2 came out in 2004. Holy shit did people freak out when they saw the graphics they thought it was the end of the world. You needed like a whopping ATi Radeon XT1900 with 512mb of memory which was several hundreds of dollars back then to run Half Life 2 maxed smoothly quite a bit after it was released. Shortly after Doom 3 came out in 2005 which was still another a graphical improvement. After it insanely increased in 2006-2007 (When Elder Scrolls Oblivion Came out people were like WHHHAAAAAT). Ever since 2007-Now there's been improvements in graphics but not like those huge steps. I just wanted to say, you may think like BF3 or Assassins Creed III looks good, but soon games are just gonna look very very very good. And I'm not talking about Crysis 3 or something. With very good looking games soon to come, very powerful computers are required. Why I involved consoles in this is because they will not be able to deliver the same as PC will in a year or two. They simply will not have the power because of the budget people have. Its understandable really, but what your going to expect is, Anti Ailiasing (edge smoothness) on consoles, and better frame rates (24-40). When you spend 350 on the new consoles, your going to have to spend like 500 bucks of performance if that was on a PC. So why get PC then. Going another 500 dollars more spent on your PC and you have the power 5x more than that system. The reasons why games look pretty good even on a fairly old console is because the games are made very very specially for the systems. Soon we are going to have 4K and 8K resolution tv's and monitors meaning more power is needed to display such graphics at that concentration of pixels. Because I only want the better of this forum, start saving now. Don't plan on buying a console (you could im not stopping you), but its time to make a change as i see it. Save up $1200 - $1400 - $1600 and in 2015, buy a desktop with the best possible video card. And im not talking about walking into best buy, future shop and by an acer lol. Get a gaming computer. A gaming computer means everything computer. Work, play etc... not just a business computer with an integrated video card. I stress alot on the video card because many many times I have seen like a 1000 dollar computer with the power of smartly built computer at 600 dollars. I just wanted to share my opinion, but do know my opinion contains real facts.

All in all in a nutshell, the power of consoles aren't going to be as impressive as you thought in the future so you best be prepared to switch to a powerful PC. So SAVE UP if you want to continue exhilarating gaming

But soon it might not be the problem of how powerful your computer is, its going to be, what the hell am i going to do with it. Games are becoming more and more repetitive. So you have to draw the line on how far your going to go through with this.

If you have some positive or rebellious comments, please list them below I would be open to hear about them and we can have small debates
