Upon seeing Ubisoft's Watch Dogs for the first time during E3 2012, it was thought, and indeed widely speculated that we might be looking at a next-generation game. According to leaked marketing materials that could well be the case, with a poster promoting pre-orders for the game sporting a quote from G4 stating that the game is a "truly next-gen adventure".
It seems to be a carefully selected quote to suggest that Watch Dogs could be coming to the next generation of home consoles, as we and many others suspected all along. Tellingly, the poster also declares that Watch Dogs will be "available on all home consoles" in time for "holiday 2013" according to the promo material.
It's entirely possible that as well as coming to Xbox 360 and PS3, Watch Dogs could also be making its way to next-gen consoles, which would explain why the game looked so damn good in those lovely E3 videos. Will Watch Dogs be arriving in time for holiday 2013 though? Well, that depends on whether the poster (below) proves to be kosher.
