Bungie says that Destiny is about discovery. "We're crafting a ritual of fun and exploration in which you'll figure things out for yourself."
Destiny's release date is unspecified so far, but will be coming to PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
Destiny, the upcoming always-connected FPS from Bungie, is the Halo developer's first multi-platform title. Instead of being intimidated by this prospect, Bungie is looking forward to the results.
"We get to invite people to explore [these] worlds," the company writes on its website. "Our community can invite players who may have never experienced a Bungie game before.
"Developing a cross-platform game is hard, but the perks outweigh the pains."
