Does it allow you to play together thru different console types?

i don't understand how this works either. we are in the same crew and you are on xbox and i'm on playstation. i don't understand the point of a crew or what it does. because i know i can level up without a crew, but what does the crew mean or do for us individually or together?

also is online just the game map with countless people roaming free in the open world? like can our crew be doing a heist and then another crew come out of nowhere and kill us and take our money? or is a heist like a mission where nobody can interfere? i'm so confused lol

Online you can rob stores, play tennis, sky diving, do a couple mini missions here and there where you steal cars and take it to Simeon. You also can steal cars and sell them at Los Santos Customs. You can buy properties and cars online. There is also races and team death matches that give you money.


The Heist are not online yet. Rockstar stated that won't be available for a couple more weeks. I guess they want to add more to it as it goes on. The Heist will be cool because someone can set it up in their house and have their xbox live party or friends be your crew members. I hope they add a lot more. The character customizations for online play is horrendous. Every store offers the same exact clothing and its mostly the generic clothing too. Online doesn't offer nearly the same amount of clothing and hairstyles that the single player story mode does.

Thanks for the info. Here's my next question. Does the money earned online add to your money in story mode? Otherwise I'll never be able to buy all those damn properties.

im over the fucking game!!! i finished it just before, (got the achievement saying i completed the game) it auto saved and i quit out. I went back in to the game and it put me back at the final mission. gggggggggrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

i've started the online and noticed that you have to save your money in the ATM. well you DON'T need to use the ATM, you can use your phone's internet and go to money and go to Maze Bank and do a deposit this will save you lots of money and time!

i started online last night and i haven't been back on yet. i hope he's not deleted, that would suck. I didn't put too much time into him though but i better not lose what i've done progress wise.

Lol, i was not playing Grand Theft Auto since 10 years. I knew GTA 1, GTA 2 and GTA 3 for pc, those different games.
Nowadays things changed, there are games for PS3 or other consoles. Really to say it's a very good play you know i'm saying.
I had a lot of fun with it, especially those orders you can get from your employer. I liked always to drive a car and put real songs on the radio
by putting tracks in a special GTA folder.
