Xbox One Sells Over 1 Million Consoles In 24 Hours

Microsoft's new Xbox One gaming console has been out for just 24 hours, and has already matched the first day sales figures of the PlayStation 4, selling more than a million units worldwide.

The Xbox One launched at midnight Thursday evening (Nov. 21) in 13 markets, and has already sold out at most retailers and that is already working to restock stores. The company says the numbers surpasses first-day sales of the Xbox 360, the previous-generation model that went on sale eight years ago.

Also, Microsoft said that gamers killed over 60 million zombies in Dead Rising 3 and drove more than 3.6 million miles on Forza Motorsport 5.

Well to be fair, the Xbox One sold in more regions than the PS4 has so far. PS4 hasn't launched in Europe yet. The region that will probably give Sony their most sales. They've always dominated Europe.

Lmao @ the fanboys. Keep riding for Sony like they give a fuck about you. Honestly, fuck both of those consoles. Overpriced beta boxes. I'll think about getting them sometime down the line when there's stuff worthy to play on them and the kinks have been ironed out. I got too big of a game backlog on my 360 & PS3 (Omg I got both! Crazy, right?!) to worry about this minuscule leap this generation with these new consoles. Nothing shown off yet has really blown me away.

Exactly. There are reports of units malfunctioning from parties. Also the launch line up is crap for both systems. All I see is graphics being pushed over gameplay. Best to wait for the systems to mature and get some real killer software.
