What's your interpretation of the "true ending" cutscene?

And yeah it's a shame they cut that stuff with Liquid (and what looked to be a great boss fight). I hope Konami ends up going out of business. Those idiots are actually putting microtransactions in an MGS game. Despicable. I can see why Kojima bumped heads with them. They should sell the MGS IP to a publisher that will let Kojima continue to work on it at his own pace the way he wants to. Maybe Square Enix?

Purchased the game about a week ago on PS4 and could already tell the game would be long as fuck by just playing the 1st hour of the game.

I didnt watch the true ending yet. First I want to to see the other 2 endings (after episode 31 and epsiode 46) after that I'll watch the ending that was cut by Konami.
I read the chapter 2 should have much more story missions, but Konami also cut these, that why chapter 2 have only 6 story missions and the rest (12 missions) are the same as in chapter 1. Konami destroyed MGS5. That game had so much potential, but Konami fucked it up.

Episode 31 is considered an ending. Episode 43 is considered an ending. Episode 46 is considered the "true ending" (you'll see why). The stuff that was cut (Episode 51) would've been considered as another story ending. A shame Konami didn't allow Kojima to finish it.

I'm disappointed about the game. It's maybe the worst MGS game so far. Maybe I'll like the game one day like MGS 2, which I didnt like when I played it back in 2001. The game had so much potential. There are so many ways how Kojima could link the none story based main missions to the story and add more cut scenes, damn!!!

                Never ever it's a 10/10 game. It's a 8/10 game and a 5/10 MGS.

Also the few story based mission are made loveless. I would change few parts here and there in each mission, i.g.

                SPOILER

In mission 16 you have to steal a truck: Why the fuck only 1 truck. I would create the mission like this: destroy 3 trucks and extract 2 containers and steal 1 truck. The villian give a fuck about one lost truck.
                SPOILER

I agree. Dont get me wrong its a great game, trouble is it seems Konami is trying to reach a wider audience (which they have) while theyve turned their backs on the true MGS fans, it isnt a true MGS game, it should of been a kind of spin off like peace walker. Its lacking in cutscenes, theres too much freedom, I miss how everything had to be done and obtained in a set order and worst of all no David Hayter

I used to have enough time to roll a J in some of the old cut scenes. David Hayter is the shit

[MENTION=458]Exodus [MENTION=580]mat_turbo Did you guys finished the game?

I love the game. Gameplay is amazing, open world is great. The story is not the best ever, but it's nice especially at the end. The re-playability of the game is insane with doing all side tasks and S ranks. I love the motherbase en FOB stuff as well.

The only less good thing about the game is that you play different missions at the same spot, which is weird.

did you play other MGS games before? MGS 1 & 3 are still the best MGS games. MGS 2 & 4 have many weak points, but are still great MGS games. Relating to MGS 5 I just finished mission 20 and the last 11 missions wont change my mind about this game.

                        so far:
prologue: awesome and best part of the game
                        mission 1: great
                        mission 2-5: crap
                        mission 6: good
                        mission 7-10: crap
                        mission 11: good
                        side ops 82 + mission 12: great
                        mission 13: good
                        mission 14: crap
                        mission 15: good
                        mission 16: ok
                        mission 17: crap
                        mission 18: great
                        mission 19: crap
                        mission 20: fantastic

there is no variation in the game and only few cut scenes. I wanted 8+ hours cut scenes, damn this game was announced as the game which should close the story gaps and should be the link to MG 1.

After mission 20 you are in the mother base and instead of a cut scene about the next mission you getting info via idroid, wtf?

When you check MGS forums and other gaming forums you will see that many are dusappointed.

Kojima on twitter said that this is not MGS5. It's MGSV. I don't know what to interpret that as. We know the V (roman numeral 5) stands for Venom Snake. Perhaps Kojima means this is like Peace Walker, a spin-off.

MGS4 had 8+ hours of cut scenes. That was most people's problem with it. This game has somewhere between 4 & 5 hours of cut scenes.

Have you seen "The Man Who Sold The World" scene? It does link. It actually reveals how BB was able to cheat death from Solid Snake twice (MG & MG2SS). I'm a little torn on love or hate on Kojima's twist in the game. Love it one day (if you understand what that last scene is about), hate it the next as you feel like you were robbed of something.

11 more stories? It's not finished after that at all. I must say that the bigger story missions are coming after 20. First finish the game before final judgement .

And yes i played all older games.

I havent finished the game yet, about half way, maybe I should leave final judgemnt till the end. I have done nearly all the side missions in an effort to make the game last longer however its getting a bit tedious now and ive lost some of the enjoyment, I find myself rushing through many missions. Like I say dont get me wrong its a great game but the changes were never going to fully please everyone.
