I haven't played Demon's Souls, Dark Souls, Dark Souls II or Bloodborne yet, but at some point I plan to. I own them all except for Bloodborne. They look amazing and I'm always up for a challenge. Dark Souls III is looking good. The boss battles always look crazy.

Really looking forward to this game. Loved DaS and DeS, but DaSII wasn't as good, so I am a little cautious with this game at the same time. Still need to play Bloodborne though.

Dark Souls 2 wasnt directed by Hidetaka Miyazaki, that's why the game wasnt that great as Dark Souls 1 and Demon's Souls. After the release of Bloodborne he returned to the Souls series. Dark Souls 3 has his style and you see that part 3 will be a fusion of Demon's Souls, Dark Souls 1 and Bloodborne. This game will be how part 2 should be, but still part 2 had few nice elements and I enjoyed the game and finished it more than 7 times.

Yeah you could tell it had the "B team" working on it. I'd heard that well into development they ditched everything and started again from scratch, so DaSII was a rushed product on top of everything else. It's a fine game on its own, but pretty poor as a follow up to DaS.

I'm looking forward to some elements from DeS returning in DaSIII, DeS was my favorite. Which one was your favorite?

My favorite is Dark Souls 1.
It's bigger than Demon's Souls - no seperate sections/areas... just a whole big world, it's balanced, the covenants were a nice addition, the DLC was awesome ...Artorias is my favorite boss and Dark Souls 1 had better bosses in general.
what I hated in Dark Souls 1 was the demon ruins ...the standard enemies were crap and few were recycled bosses. they should add the DLC in the final game instead of the demon ruins, that would be the best Dark Souls 1 version.

I really like the whole hub world/separate areas thing DeS had going on. I liked the bosses in DaS, but I thought DeS had better bosses and just cooler concepts for boss fights; Old Monk, Storm King, and Maiden Astrae are a couple examples of some of the better fights in the game in my opinion.

I fucking hated Demons Ruins too, all that lava shit hurt my eyes to look at. It was lazy to just throw in recycled crap like Capra Demon, and I also hated those worm enemies that spit acid that damaged your equipment. Remember there being an enemy like that in DeS and it could really mess you up since it cost so much to repair stuff in that game.

My least favorite level out all has to be Valley of Defilement though. You were poisoned 99% of the time, you had to slog through swamp water with slowed movement, the inability to roll, and large enemies that could move normally, and when trying to get out of the lower swamp area there were those annoying mosquito enemies that could knock you off of a very narrow path that'd make you have to start all over again. I see Blight Town complained about a lot, but it's not half as bad as Valley of Defilement in my opinion. Biggest problem with Blight Town was the awful framerate.

Valley of Defilement was a hard area, but still better than demon ruins. the platin trophy of Demon's Souls was also a pain in the ass. it took me 2 weeks until the enemy dropped the item I need to build a weapon for the tophy.

I loved the game, but decided against trying for the platinum. There was just so much farming and RNG involved. Way more grind than any of the other Soul plats.
