Ever since I updated all my apps, every minute I wipe, my RAM usage goes bananas again, I tried to monitor what's causing it but in the task manager, there's nothing

    Makes no sense nammsay, nosense

Before I did an update, it was always steady green around the 300mb RAM usage

Help me, ill rep you +500

wrong rom man, even if it is stock one, you should really root your HTC and flash one. LG's stock ICS is terrible too, I'm using cyanogenmod 10.1 and everything works like a charm. tell me if you need help in it, I'll gladly help!

I read killing apps is harming memory as android frees it up automatically when it needs to. and makes battery life worse

I've wanted to root my phone, but I've got no desire to. What can I get out of it?

Android is not PC, it doesn't keep hidden programs running all the time
when you load the program/game and hide it, it saves the current state of it, when u opening it, it loads the state you left when u hide the program.
it's not the Windows where u need 8 Gb to run 8 programs at the same damn time so don't worry about it

well for example there is an app called Greenify that needs root. it can "renew" your phone by hibernating apps, but you can still use them, it really makes my phone faster as it doesn't let apps to run in the background I don't use at the moment. plus you can flash some great, fast roms that are probably much better than your stock one.

I know you told me in the past, but what is your exact phone model? rooting is different on every phone, it can even be risky. so I'll check.

but damn that 720 used Ram is BAD! my LG only has 384Mb of RAM (512-128Mb for the nvidia chip), and still always has at least 100mb free ram, it is always smooth and everything runs well.. ever since I flashed a custom rom.

I won't do it if there are risks, worse case scenario I'll reformat, which I don't wanna do lol

Well it's not risky, but it's complicated AS HELL!
A big thanks to Bentenrai and his initial thread for rooting the EVO 3D, off which I created this guide, eugene373 for the temp root solution, Team Win, UnrEVOked and AlphaRev, and anyone else that has helped make this happen. Some of you may...

It'd worth it if you knew what those things mean, because it has some decent ROMs as I saw. But you gotta unlock the bootloader, then root it, install superuser permissions then a recovery, finally you can flash any ROMs.

Or maybe try to do a factory reset on your phone (you can backup most of the things with apps in Play Store). Are you on the latest released OS (I think it's ICS)?

I've read about this before, flashing it can mod the speed of the phone etc, but I have question. Why isn't just any phone capable of this originally without flashing? lol

They don't optimize stock ROM's well and fill it with useless stuff that eats storage and memory, and custom interfaces like Sense on HTC. Most of these homemade ROM's have stock Android interface with the standard fuctions (it can be changed to whatever you want though!), and have many useful tweaks for memory, CPU (like overclock) etc. Most of these changes cannot be done without root, as you don't have administrator priviliges (over your own phone lol), and you can't change anything in system files.

If you are unsure in rooting but you'd want it, I'd suggest you to ask help from an expert or from a friend of yours who has done anything like this. Once it's done you can easily change ROM's and stuff.
